Most brands leave fistfuls of tacos on the table by not keeping in touch with potential customers at the end of the buyer's journey. If your customer forgets about their order and you don't remind them (a few times), then you're no doubt missing out.
Remember not to immediately offer a discount. Plenty of customers are indifferent to 10% off. Instead, use a 'discount ladder' system, where you offer gradually increasing discounts from the second or third email.
According to the Baymard Institute, 21% of prospects abandon orders because the checkout process is too long or complicated. Providing clear instructions or offering quick & easy assistance tends to increase conversion rates.
